The Roberts Group was founded in 1990 by R. Wayne Roberts, AIA, REFP, and for the next 18 years TRG served the architectural and planning needs of educational, religious, and commercial clients across North Carolina. In 2008, TRG merged with Fanning/Howey Associates, Inc., a nationally-recognized leader in educational facilities planning and design. Today, TRG + FH offers clients throughout the Southeast comprehensive resources for architecture, engineering, interior design, technology design, landscape architecture, and sustainable design.

Wayne Roberts, AIA, REFP

Wayne has over 38 years of diversified experience in architectural design and planning in the Southeast, including educational, commercial, religious, and retail facilities. As Executive Director of TRG + FH, Fanning Howey's North Carolina office, Wayne coordinates all team efforts, managing the project design team and facilitating all communication and interaction. As a member of Council of Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI), Wayne has served as the International Board Representative for the Southeast Region (2004 – present), 2008 High Performance Symposium Chair, 2001 Southeastern Regional President, and participated in the writing of CEFPI's Strategic Plan.

Wayne is NCARB certified and is registered in North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, New Jersey, and Florida.
